AP denial on `preacher' murder
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

HYDERABAD, SEPT 13: Police today denied reports that T. Yesudasu, axed to death near a village in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday, was a Christian preacher. Refuting reports in a section of the press, Karimnagar District Superintendent of Police Nalin Prabhat told PTI over phone that Yesudasu (52) was not a Christian preacher, though he belonged to the community and was working in the state health department.

He said the police were investigating the case from all angles, but ruled out any religious overtones to the incident.

According to a report, two unidentified persons came to the house of Yesudasu on a two-wheeler and took him to the outskirts of the village Kothakunta and beheaded him.
